Tiina Jaatinen (Turku School of Economics) has been studying international marketing and sustainable development and takes care of the company's marketing functions.
Hooked Design re-uses material from Finnish and European textile industry. Not every piece of a tricot fabric can be used in clothes industry. From both edges of a fabric roll there is a selvage to prevent raveling. This is cut off and collected in the textile factories. The material is ecological and it is also very durable.
The name Hooked comes from their original Finnish name "Virkkuukoukussa" which means Hooked on Crocheting. The crochet hook is their primary tool and both of the entrepreneurs are enthusiastic about making things with their hands.
